Father's
Day Fund
Dear friend of the Ministry,
I hope this letter finds you well.
We are writing to ask for your help.
Would you please partner with us in an effort to replace the roof and provide some very
necessary repairs and renovations to our new Church home? The issue with our roof has
reached critical proportions and we must act now. Our goal and our plan is to repair and
replace the old shingle roof by late spring or early summer of this year. This is the purpose
of the Father's Day Fund.
This year Father's Day is June 18th, 2006. On that day we are asking God to bless us with
an offering sufficient to replace our roof and provide for both interior and exterior repairs
and renovation of our beautiful Sanctuary. The Father's Day Fund has three streams of
income and we're asking you to share in a portion of this fund drive as you feel led.
1. The congregation, here at Good Ground, has agreed that on Father's Day we will bring the
equivalent of "One week's" gross income and donate it to the fund. Our Church goal is
100% participation by all of our members.
2. Our goal is that God would raise up at least 300 partners for us by June 18th. Each partner
would donate/contribute, one share or more, at $750 per share. We are believing for 300
plus shares that would generate more than $225,000 to repair the Church roof.
3. Provision - What is in our new Church home that may be used to help offset repair costs.
Friends, we've seen the ministry grow, but, as with most things, it hasn't been without its
challenges. The spirit of ministry is strong and we are seeing lives touched, through God's
love, in a wonderful way. We believe that we are in God's will and that we are supposed to
be here in Cohoes. We are committed to God's plan for us, for this Church and this area.
