God will honor His word…

We are building in you a culture of faith. We want to live and lead our lives in accordance to faith in God [and] in His word. We want to live by the word of God. What it says is what we do… What God says is what we say!

Don’t be judgmental… you are not ‘all that’. Jesus is trying to communicate [that] you are not ‘all that’!

The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree

Luke 13:6-9

He also spoke this parable: "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, 'Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?' But he answered and said to him, 'Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down."'(NKJV)

Pastor prays…

We have been sharing about the topic of Seed Time and Harvest. In life nothing happens unless a seed [first] happens. We are seed. We have been given the potential for sowing seed [and] in fact, be ‘seed’.

Luke 13:1-2

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? (NKJV)

This is a judgmental attitude in the report of the people. Because these bad things happened to the people the people must be bad!

Watch out for those who only have bad news…

Don’t be listening to people who have bad news and are critical of those who had the bad news. Get your mind [and your mouth] off of people.

Be sweet and you will go further in life!

Luke 13:3

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (NKJV)

Luke 13:5

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."(NKJV)

Quit judging and repent! Quit being critical of other folks!

After the flood, the Ark has landed… Noah brings a sacrifice unto the Lord…

Genesis 8:20

Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. (NKJV)

You can’t offer nothing dirty to God [unless it is you]!

Genesis 8:21

And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. (NKJV)

Look carefully so you don’t overlook… the promise.

While you were yet a sinner Christ died for you. Don’t discount yourself because you are not perfect.

Genesis 8:22

"While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease." (NKJV)

Genesis 9:1

So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. (NKJV)

The closing verses of chapter 8... God gives a promise. God will still promise to be God when you are…

God will also give a promotion [Genesis 9:1] …God blessed

Obedience, Faithfulness and Fruitfulness… God wants to bless you.

If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land. [Isaiah]

  • We can be obedient… BUT from this point on I will be willing also!

There is promotion and blessing attached to the promises of God!

If you start with a seed then you have potential. It is not enough to have potential. If you want your potential realized then you have to do something with your seed!

John 12:24-25

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (NKJV)

  • Esteem God’s life in you more than the decisions that you want for yourself!
  • God will NOT create a ‘train wreck’ in you!

John 12:26

If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. (NKJV)

  • Serve Jesus because His Father is a very good God!

If you are seed and you have seed and keep the seed in the bag [then] you profit nothing!

Nothing happens until the seed comes out of the package and is planted into the ground.

We are the fruit of Jesus life and death!

The excellence and preeminence of Jesus

Hebrews 2:9-10

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (NKJV)

  • The Father took the Seed and planted it into the earth
  • Jesus was the first Seed
  • Jesus is the First fruit
  • Jesus has given us an opportunity to be reunited with the Father; that was [is] the plan!

Dictate back to the day; press back on your pressure!

Jesus didn’t die to leave us as orphans; we were adapted into…

Many sons unto glory…

Mark 11:20

Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. (NKJV)

  • We often times have the appearance [of] the faith; we have the walk, the talk, and the sound BUT [often times] we do not have the fruit!
  • We are called to [not just] have leaves BUT the leaves need to lead to the fruit…

But if not, after that you can cut it down."' (NKJV)

If I have [got] leaves [then] I have [got] fruit. I don’t want to be a person with a whole bunch of leaves BUT no fruit!

A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard… this is a picture of God

Fig tree… this is picture of abundance and prosperity.

Figs are a picture of what our lives should be like. God has come… Jesus is the gardener…

  • In the Old Testament God will have told Moses to step aside… “I am going to wipe them out!’
  • Moses would talk to God and change the plan…

Nothing sits still by itself and [just] gets better!

  • People who want God get God!
  • God is still looking for fruit!

Thank God that you came [today]; you are responsible for the words in this message!

  • Your life is bigger than this… this will make your life bigger than what you have [already] got!
  • If you remember God [then] your life will bear fruit!

God appreciates what we are doing! BUT God…

You matter to God. Lives will be changed. Souls will be saved!

There are still in you seeds of glory, seeds of hope, seeds of purpose!

  • Be as fruitful as you can be!

Jesus is an intercessor for you…

Luke 13:8

But he answered and said to him, 'Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. (NKJV)

This is Jesus interceding for us with the Father!

Don’t let other people define you when you have Jesus interceding for you. God still sees the potential in you because it isn’t over! Your potential will be fulfilled [in Jesus name].

Jesus believes in you even if you don’t believe in yourself!

Let God lead you by His Spirit into Your Destiny. You are not a chicken… You are an Eagle!
