Throughout God's Word we are taught to pray for ourselves and for others. Intercession is a tremendous privilege and an area in which we often see life-changing results as God moves in powerful ways through our prayers.
The Bible teaches us that we are to pray and ask God for His kingdom to come on earth. We are given the awesome opportunity to be a part of the work of God's kingdom by asking Him for His power to be displayed for His glory and honor. Jesus taught His disciples to pray. In fact, the disciples never asked Jesus to teach them how to teach, preach, or sing, but they did ask Him to teach them how to pray! It must have been important to them after they observed how central it was in the life of Jesus.Although prayer is a vital part of every believer's personal devotional life, is essential in the ministry of Sunday School, and is a large part of the Pastor's Prayer/Bible Study on Wednesday nights, there are other avenues for prayer participation here at Good Ground Family Church:
All of our ministry areas - each Connect group ministry and Worship ministry are started and ended with a time of prayer.
* Wednesday Mid-Week Bible Service at 6:45PM - includes times when our worship leads into a time of saturated prayer - Corporately for ourselves and others.
* Fresh Rain that meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 6:30 p.m., starting in September, is a time of spontaneous and Spirit led prayer interspersed with praise led by our worship team.
